Defund the Police
-
Description
-
Protesting that the police do not increase public safety, CAPCR activists joined the demand to abolish the current system of policing. The call to defund the police sought to bring attention to the unprecedented size of police budgets and the belief that those monies could be better spent on education, healthcare, housing, and social services.
